How Can I Get Success?

You may be asking yourself, “How can I get success?

Do you really want to get success? Or, just asking?

How Can I Get Success?

Here what Alex says at Unlesh Reality:

The main reason that you don’t get anything done in life is because you don’t actually want to.

You say you want to. But you don’t really.

I woke up at 4:25 this morning to take a friend to the airport. I usually struggle to wake up at 7am with a symphony of different alarm clocks. But I woke up BEFORE my alarms went off this morning. Why? I had decided to wake up. I decided that I wouldn’t let my friend down and that I would wake up to take him to the airport… whereas other mornings I tell myself that I must wake up at 7am, but I don’t actually want to wake up. I just tell myself to do it because I think I should but I don’t decide to wake up, so I don’t.

People say that they want to improve and be brilliant but that’s not actually what they want.

People say they want to do really well academically but they don’t study. Those who do well make it their purpose to do well. They focus fully when they study, and they study for hours. They decide to do well and do everything to make that happen. They live it. Their decision is beyond just words, they make it their purpose.

People say that they want to improve but actually, their purpose is to “just get by”. And that’s all that happens, they “just get by”. And that’s fine. It’s what they want. On a deep level, at least. They’ll tell you that they want to change and improve, but that’s not what they want.

Empty words.

I really believe that you can do anything. Anything at all. I don’t believe in “intelligence” – in the sense that one person is clever and another isn’t – or the idea that one person can do something and another can’t. I really believe, based on my own experience, that if you want something and decide to do it and make it happen then you can. You can do anything at all as long as you decide to do it.

But there’s the thing:

You have to make that decision – that choice – to do it. The intention behind the decision is what makes the decision bloom. Make that decision, feel it as though it is now, with full intention for that to be true, fully feel that excitement that change brings pulsing through your being – don’t just tell yourself that you’ll do it in a lie intended to protect your lazy, useless existence.

We’re scared of change because we’re worried that changing something means it wasn’t already perfect – and that makes us worry that other things aren’t “perfect” – but improving your life relies on the notion that there’s something to improve.

That which you are on a deep level is changeless, perfect, whole and complete. But we can still improve the situations we experience. The experiencer, that which you are, is perfect and changeless but the experience can be changed and improved upon when you decide to do so.

But unless you fully commit and decide to do something – to improve or change something – your indecisiveness will keep you torn between where you are and where you want to be, it’ll create resistance that will limit your potential action, and it will cloud your awareness of the reality of the situation.

You have to make a whole-hearted, committed decision that resonates in every tingle of your being, giving you that “I will do this no matter what” motivation to do something – to act on that decision and to actually improve.

Decide to do something.
Or don’t.
But take responsibility and make a decision.
…because if you don’t, nothing will change.

You decide.

Ready?

Ask yourself again sincerely and deeply “How can I get success?

And, if you do, you’ll be far more likely to get success.

The Half Step That Will Change Your Life by Leo Babauta

Editor Raj Bapna’s note: Here is a great article for you:

The Half Step That Will Change Your Life by Leo Babauta

You’d be surprised to know how many emails I get where people are stuck in their lives.

They’re broke, or unmotivated, or in a job they hate, or they can’t find their passion, or they can’t get motivated to get healthy.

And they don’t know where to start.

It hurts to read these emails. It brings back to life the pain I lived through not too many years ago, when I too was stuck.

I know the feeling of despair when you are unhappy with your life and don’t know how to change. When you’ve tried lots of changes, but couldn’t find the discipline to make them stick. When you feel crappy about yourself because you know you should get off your butt and start improving your life, but you’d rather put it off for another day.

Problems go away when you ignore them, right?

I also know that there is really only one way out of this mire of despair.

It’s to take an action, no matter how tiny.

You don’t need to fix everything in your life right now. You don’t even need to fix one thing.

You just need to do one little, miniscule, almost nothing thing.

Make a list. Go outside and take a walk. Get rid of some of your junk food. Clear off your kitchen table. Cancel something tomorrow so you can make time to create something, no matter how small.

Don’t do all of these. Do one. Or half of one, or one thousandth. It doesn’t matter how small — the smaller, the better.

Take that first step. Celebrate that first step. Love the step, not the destination. That step, even the motion of taking the first foot off the ground and moving it forward — that’s everything.

That’s the truth, and you’ll not read it in many self-help books: put every microparticle of your existence into that half step, and be nothing but that half step, and love it with all you have … and your life has changed.

With this half step, everything is different. You haven’t achieved any goals … but you’ve moved. You haven’t created something amazing … and yet, more than ever before, you have.

You’ve created beauty and joy and movement where none existed before, where previously only constriction and paralysis and confusion lived. You have changed the world.

The First Habit

Choose one little habit to add joy to your life. Just one, and tiny is miraculous.

It can be writing or painting or making music for 2 minutes a day. It can be a ridiculously easy walk or jog or enjoying a bowl of fruit. It can be 2 minutes of meditation or reflecting in a journal.

Enjoy the hell out of it.

Create this one habit, and you have a success. This is a foundation, a first step, to build on.

Then you can do a second, and a third, but you can’t do those without a first.

Don’t change your entire life. Just change this one little thing.

You’d be amazed how much that matters. I was.

3 Ways to Study Any Subject So You Learn Maximum without Wasting Effort and Get the Best Results

Way #1: Use Your Text Book

Use the same text book as your teacher uses. This helps you to revise faster whatever you learn in your school.

But, just be aware that text books are written mainly to teach subjects and not for success in competitions. So, text books are not sufficient for sure success in today’s cut-throat competitions in India.

Way #2: Join Good Classroom Coaching

Join some good, reputed classroom coaching.

Generally, there is nothing as good as good classroom coaching. So, you should join a good classroom coaching if you can afford to spend Rs 30,000-2,00,000.

If not, then you should join some good correspondence coaching (cost Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000).

Talk to your friends, classmates, and teachers to find out which are the best coaching options in your city.

Way #3: Use Special Notes Such As Memory Maps, Mind Maps

If you can find, use some special types of notes that allow you to revise a lot of your course material within very short period of time. Such revisions help you to memorize and help get success in competitions.

What is Meditation?

We give below the explanation from the book Meditation: The First and The Last Freedom by OSHO (Osho was formerly known as Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh)

Witnessing, the spirit of meditation

Meditation

Meditation

.

Meditation is adventure, the greatest adventure the human mind can undertake. Meditation is just to be, not doing anything — no action, no thought, no emotion. You just are and it is a sheer delight. From where does this delight come when you are not doing anything? It comes from nowhere, or it comes from everywhere. It is uncaused, because existence is made of the stuff called joy.

When you are not doing anything at all — bodily, mentally, on no level — when all activity has ceased and you simply are, just being, that’s what meditation is. You cannot do it, you cannot practice it: you have only to understand it.

Whenever you can find time for just being, drop all doing. Thinking is also doing, concentration is also doing, contemplation is also doing. Even if for a single moment you are not doing anything and you are just at your centre, utterly relaxed — that is meditation.

And once you have got the knack of it, you can remain in that state as long as you want; finally you can remain in that state for twenty-four hours a day.
